VERDICT

The Fitbit Alta Fitness Tracker has all the benefits that you would expect from a fitness band like the long battery life and the companion app. It, however, is not perfect as it lacks the features to make it a 24-hour wearable accessory. It is thus not for the serious and fanatic sports people that put fitness training above all else. For the newbies, however, this is one device you should completely try out.

The Fitbit Alta Fitness Tracker has to be the best-looking fitness band from Fitbit. It is a fine fitness band that you will enjoy wearing. It is a good fitness band for the simple reason that it gets the job done in a convenient way. It has a decent battery life as well as linking to your smartphone for those times that you are just out and about running errands. Fitbit has not failed to deliver with this fitness band as well.

Key Features of the Fitbit Alta Fitness Tracker:

  • An OLED display
  • Options for multiple bands depending on user preference
  • Tracking for your Calories, Distance, and Steps
  • The Fitbit app
  • A few select phone notifications
  • Bluetooth connectivity
  • 5-day battery life

Product Description for Fitbit Alta Fitness Tracker:

The Fitbit Alta is your everyday simple fitness band in terms of looks. It has a rubber strap that can be unclipped and interchanged thanks to the technicians at Fitbit. These straps are connected to a 1.4-inch OLED display making it easier to use and read. The design of the bands and the size of the screen that they are attached to make the Fitbit Alta one of the most comfortable fitness bands in the market today. The shame to all of this aestheticism and ease in customization is the lack of the waterproof feature. You can thus not wear the band to the shower or the swimming pool.

With the simplicity of the Fitbit Alta Fitness Tracker, it is easily usable by anyone that requires it. It comes with a good fitness tracker that enables you to keep track of your steps, distance, and calories at any point in time. It can switch between the rest, sleep and workout modes easily due to the sensors and the Fitbit’s SmartTrack tech. It lacks the GPS capabilities that are necessary for serious fitness trainers. It is necessary to get the Fitbit’s app so that you can easily connect and sync your mobile device with the Fitbit Alta for a wholesome experience. The lack of the heart rate monitor is quite a let back.

The Fitbit Alta powers a display and an ever active heart rate monitor, making its 5-day battery life impressive. It takes about an hour to fully charge and get the fitness band going. There is, however, the ever annoying charger that clumps over the back of the display. It takes some getting used to, and even after that, it is still nearly impossible to get it into place in the dark.
